INTEGRITY & ACCOUNTABILITY
OUR APPROACH · RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility starts with
how decisions are made.
A focus on integrity, people, resource awareness and responsible commercial relationships across the value chain.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
Principles must connect to practical decisions.
Actinoid identifies environment, community, social development, trust and a quality workplace as important foundations for international commerce.
These themes are expressed as working principles for decision design and policy development—not as claims of verified performance, certification or impact.
PEOPLE & RELATIONSHIPS
Treat stakeholders with respect
RESOURCES & ENVIRONMENT
Consider material effects
RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAINS
Understand the route
RESPONSIBLE-SOURCING CYCLE
From policy to evidence.
Review depth should reflect the product, jurisdiction, severity and likelihood of possible harm, and the organisation’s connection to it.
Embed
Set expectations in policy, responsibilities, contracts and escalation routes.
Assess
Identify actual or potential adverse impacts and gaps in available evidence.
Act
Prevent, stop or mitigate material issues with a named responsible owner.
Track
Check whether actions are implemented and producing the intended result.
Communicate
Report relevant findings, limitations and changes with a clear basis and period.
Remediate
Support appropriate remediation where the organisation has caused or contributed to harm.
PRODUCT PROVENANCE
Traceability turns claims into a reviewable record.
A proportionate evidence file can connect the legal supplier with the actual product, production route and open actions.
Know the parties and production site
Record legal entity, beneficial ownership, producer, site and country of origin.
Connect specification to the batch
Record grade, form, batch or lot, test and conformity evidence, inspection and chain-of-custody documents.
Keep evidence current
Record material environment, labour or human-rights information, corrective actions, owners, review dates and evidence expiry.
Treat recycling as a supply strategy
Secondary supply can reduce waste and dependence, but collection, sorting, contamination, recovery yield and traceability determine what is usable.

Questions for responsible review.
The depth of review should be proportionate to the product, market and relationship.
- Can the parties, ownership and intended end use be understood?
- Are product origin, specifications and relevant standards clear?
- Have material environmental and social considerations been identified?
- Are legal, sanctions, export-control and contractual requirements addressed?
- Is responsibility for approval, escalation and record-keeping defined?
INDEPENDENT FRAMEWORKS & EXAMPLES
Responsible business conduct and traceability.
OECD guidance provides a general due-diligence framework. Rio Tinto’s START page is linked only as an external product-traceability example; Actinoid does not claim an equivalent system or relationship.
